Love. How do we love? We might think we know. We may think we know how to give it. We hopefully can recognize it enough to receive it.
"Love is patient. Love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails;..."
-I Corinthians 13:4-8a-
What is love? Are we showing love to our spouse or our children, our parents, family members or coworkers? Can a child feel loved when we are impatient with them? Can a coworker feel love when we are unkind?
Who is Love?
"The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
-I John 4:8-
The more we know God the more we can receive love, the more we can feel love, the more we can give love. How can we love without God? GOD IS LOVE.
Think about this. Pray about this. Ask God to fill you with His love everyday so much that it will spill over into the lives around you. Think about yourself with a bucket. Imagine God filling your bucket with love and it spilling over. You must ask for refills. People can drain the love right out of you. They can crash a whole in your bucket of love, but God is faithful to repair and refill. Just ask Him.
